Obituary of Lottie Funk

Lottie Marion Funk, 89, of Reedsville, went to be with The Lord on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Tunnelton, WV on July 23, 1924, a daughter of the late Martha (Spiker) and Alonzo Purnell. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a nurses aide at Hopemont State Hospital. Lottie is survived by a daughter, Wanela "Toots" Giuliani and husband Richard of Reedsville; three sons, Bob Funk and wife Erma of Terra Alta, Roger Funk and wife Pamela of Enterprise and Jerry Purnell and wife Barbara of Terra Alta; nine grandchildren, Lisa Hawkins and husband John, Sherry Reynolds, Mike Giuliani and wife Brittany, Rob Funk, Johnna Funk, Holly Funk, Jeremiah Funk, Andrea Parr and Jennifer Mahoney and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Funk; one daughter, Cindy Funk; two sisters, Sally Purnell and Audrey Matthews and five brothers, James, Leo, Joe, Howard and Alonzo Purnell. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday from noon until the 2 p.m. service time with Pastor David Turner officiating.
