I am the daughter of Alan "Buck" Taylor - from North Carolina. I am writing this testimonial on behalf of the family. I would like to start by saying to you, Jerry, Jennifer and your staff - - warmest of thank you! The words "thank you" do not state the depth of the appreciation the family expressed when discussing the experiences we had as you served our family during the difficult time of saying "so long" to the great patriarch of our family, Buck Taylor - he was truly a great hero, leader, servant, Godly man, husband, daddy, grandpa, friend, brother . . . . . Our parents could not say enough about the two of you and your business even prior to daddy's passing as they had attended other funerals at Field Funeral Home and they also met with you in their pre-planning. Mom (MaryAnn) described your assistance following daddy's passing as one of relief that daddy was in good hands and you both were making the tasks associated with the planning to be comforting and very professional. Our experience was not one of walking into what is atypical for a funeral home. We walked into a family room atmosphere complete with sofas and comfortable chairs, as well as a fireplace. The two of you were standing ready to greet everyone and freely hug and comfort the family. It was obvious that you truly cared about our loved one and went above and beyond to see to every need with open hearts. Our gratitude for your sincere concern, help, kindness, guidance and sympathy for the entire family and friends will never be forgotten. We felt like we were among family. With much love and blessings,
--The Taylor Family (xoxo)
"Jerry and Staff was very helpful, kind, considerate, caring, compassionate and a great comfort in our time of sorrow. Jerry and Staff treated us like we were one of their own families. We would not consider going any place else. We also purchased a monument from Jerry. We were more than satisfied. It’s very beautiful and we have had several compliments on my husband/father’s monument on how nice and beautiful it is."

"When my wife and I lost our youngest son at 16 years old, we were devastated. Trying to deal with the circumstances surrounding the way we lost him was very brutal to our emotions. When we called a friend who grew up in and around the funeral business, he referred us to Field Funeral Home. At the funeral home we were met at the door and just by the greeting we felt a world of pressure lifted. Jerry is a man with the compassion of angels. The staff became family with their warmth and support. I know God has his hand over my son, because he made sure he was laid to rest by one of his chosen servants. We hold our appreciation high for Field Funeral Home. Thank you Jerry Field."

"Jerry was very thoughtful and informative to our needs, while showing us options; he gave us private time to make decisions and was very personable to help with questions and concerns that we had. We are very pleased with the service and conduct of Jerry and his great staff in helping to let go of our loved one, James 'Delmus' Field."

"My experience with the Field Funeral Home was truly remarkable. They were kind and compassionate to me at the time of the loss of my husband. They met all of my needs, no matter how insignificantly small they may seem to others; it sure meant a lot to me. Everything went accordingly as planned. I would highly recommend their services to others. Field Funeral Home and Staff are exceptional."

"The loss of my father was the most devastating and emotionally debilitating moment of my life. And within a day my mother and I were headed to Field Funeral Home to make arrangements. We were completely numb and lost on that day. But as Jerry Field opened the door to his funeral home, the day took on a different tone. Jerry had met our family through other losses in the last year, and frankly, it hurt him to have to see us again. His compassion was beyond our expectations; genuine and heartfelt. We sat, had coffee, and talked about our horrific loss for hours. He encouraged us to share our memories and stories as we finalized the details. Jerry went above and beyond to ensure that literally everything was perfect, as my father deserved no less. Honestly I am not certain I could have maintained composure during those days were it not for the comfort of knowing my only job was to grieve with my mother – all other matters were in competent hands. As we have continued to interact with Jerry, we have forged a friendship. No matter the reason for our visit, we are greeted with a warm hug and a smile and will never look at a funeral home in the same light again. We cannot thank Jerry and his staff enough for their respectful and attentive service during our greatest time of need."

"My father passed away unexpectedly May 17, 2004. I found out while at work and I was then given the decision as to which funeral home we would utilize. In my shocked state, I picked the only one our family had ever used, Waldeck Funeral Home. Obviously, by using the name, I was unaware Jerry Field had taken over for Mr. Waldeck. Even though we were surprised by this, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Jerry took wonderful care of our grieving mother, not to mention the rest of my shocked and grief-stricken family. He catered to our every whim, from funeral planning to my dad’s hair styling – Daddy was quite particular about his hair!!! Jerry and his staff were so very helpful and accommodating to the numerous people who came to the visitations and the funeral, including family, friends, colleagues, and the military detail. Despite the upsetting circumstances, the Field Funeral Home staff was superb!! My family and I appreciate all that was done for us during this sorrowful time. We would highly recommend Jerry and the Field Funeral Home to anyone searching for a caring and knowledgeable staff to comfort them during their time of loss. We certainly do not regret the decision to entrust our beloved father to their care. Jerry and Staff, once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! We were blessed to have you serve our family."

"We the family of Chester W. Shaffer Sr. will always have a special place in our hearts for Field Funeral Home. We felt like we were taken care of and were helped in our time of sorrow. The staff could not have been more helpful, loving and kind. Having pre-arrangements made ahead of time was a real help. It helped us to know everything was being taken care of by Field Funeral Home. We would suggest it to anyone. It was like a load being lifted from our hearts."

"This is from my heart to the both of you. When we lost our Mom, you came to the hospital to pick her up. We were still there and the beautiful smiles we got from both of you made the transaction so much easier on us. Also when you called and said we could see her, you had done a “beautiful job”. She looked so at peace with where she was. You helped with every thing including getting her back to Illinois where she was interred. Thanks to both and all concerned."

"Jerry, Bob and staff, I want to thank you all for your excellent help in my planning and choosing for my wife’s funeral. Thank you for your help in planning for my own funeral. You are the best and most economical in the state. Keep up the work and God bless you all."

"We found Field Funeral Home to be a valuable help to us during our time of grief and loss. They were considerate, compassionate, helpful, willing to work with us in choices, scheduling, etc. They brought order out of a time of confusion. Very much a true ministry to the entire family. I will always remember that time as God using them to help us through a difficult transition from not knowing what to do to peace and calm. We were extremely pleased with the entire realm of services they provided to help us remember our loved one in an honorable, loving way."

"The Funeral Director at Field Funeral Home was very helpful in making the arrangements for the visitation and funeral for my mother. The Funeral Director gave us many options on the clothing, caskets and vaults. He took care of many details of the service including the minister, church, beautician and cemetery, etc. At the same time showing us much compassion and concern that everything was the way we wanted in every small detail. The funeral home setting is very adaptable to the family needs during the visitation and funeral service. The staff served our family in a very professional and caring way."
