About Us
Jerry Field is a direct descendant of Richard Field who settled in Valley District in 1774. Richard was a trapper and was murdered by a roving band of Indians in an area called "Valley of the Glades" where Sunny Hill Road is today. His family has remained in the Valley District area for generations.
In May of 2004, Jerry and Jennifer Field purchased the Waldeck Funeral Home in Masontown, West Virginia. They changed the name to Field Funeral Home and now operate it under the motto, "Our family serving yours." The funeral home offers modern facilities to accommodate the needs of the families we serve. Old photos of the area are displayed throughout the funeral home. The large chapel will comfortably seat 175 family and friends. Ample parking space and handicapped accessibility is also available.
Through the years, the funeral home has been known for helping area families with the death of their loved ones. The funeral home continues to be family owned and operated. Field Funeral Home has become a name that is synonymous with thoughtful, caring, and affordable funeral services.
