Obituary of Nicholas Michael Lopez

Nicholas Michael "Nicky" Lopez, 15, of Masontown, WV passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at WVU Medicine Children's Hospital in Morgantown with family by his side.

He was born in Morgantown, WV on January 7, 2008, a son of Pedro and Carrie Jo (Lefevers) Lopez.

Nicky attended Preston High School. He enjoyed fishing, playing baseball, watching Mountain Monsters, attending church, going to Playworks, and Stepping Stones. He especially loved to work on lawn mowers and mowing the yard.

In addition to his parents, Nicky is survived by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Lefevers Jr. and wife Sherrie of Morgantown; brothers, Pedro and Carlos Lopez; aunts and uncles, Timothy Lefevers and wife Cindy, Cathy Stimmell and husband Dennis Sr., Boyd Dalton, uncle DJ, uncle Tomboy, and Kayla Glover, and many other aunts and uncles; cousins, Elliana Adams, Madelyn Downey, Kaylee Stimmell, and Jaydex Stimmell.

Nicky was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia "Patty" Lefevers; paternal grandparents, Hipilito and Monica Lopez; and uncle, Thomas Lefevers III.

Friends may call at The Lighthouse Cathedral, 2803 Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, WV, 26508, on Tuesday September 5, 2023, from 10:00 am until the 1:00 pm time of service with Pastor Jon Henry officiating. To honor the families wishes, the Field Funeral Home in Masontown will then provide cremation services.
