Obituary of Jennings Walter Isner

Jennings Walter "Sonny" Isner, 77, of Independence, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at home with family by his side.

He was born in Taylor County, WV on December 25, 1944, a son of the late Clyde and Helen Rachel Ann (Sheets) Isner.

He was employed by Bird Loading in Maidsville as an Equipment Operator and worked as a fuel truck driver for Delaney Oil in Morgantown.

Walter is survived by two sons, Walter Isner of Morgantown and David and wife Melissa Isner of Grafton; one daughter, Marie and husband Ricky Ross of Grafton; one brother, Gary Isner of Independence; one sister, Wilma Massey of Independence; four grandchildren, Sarah Isner, Hannah and husband Joseph Cook, Emilee Isner, and Ava Palen; one great-grandchild, Jace Cook.

Along with his parents, Walter is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret L. Isner and sister, Helen L. Isner.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will follow at Gladesville Cemetery.
