Jack Edward Hilliard, 82, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at home.
Jack was born in Mahaffey, PA, on February 1, 1940, a son of the late Raymond LeRoy Hilliard and Erma Lucille (Palmer) Hilliard.
He served his country in the US Army in Germany during the Cold War. He was a well-known roofer and worked for several contractors. He loved to read, watch old movies, work puzzles, watch Mountaineer Football and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Jack is survived by his son, Kelly Gamble and Mary of Kingwood; three granddaughters, Kirsten Daugherty and Mikey, Kayla Gamble and Keri Gamble; two great grandsons, Landon Daugherty and Lochlan Daugherty; two sisters, Hazel DeBolt of Stow, OH and Donna Murphy of LaPorte, IN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Hilliard; two brothers, James Hilliard and Raymond Hillard; two sisters, Alice Millwood and Mary Ann Hilliard.
There will be a Celebration of Jack's Life at the Together 4 Christ Ministries, 115 Beverly St., Kingwood, WV 26537, on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 6pm. To honor his wishes, he will be cremated. Field Funeral Home in Masontown will be handling arrangements for the family.
