Obituary of Charles Enrico Johnson

Charles Enrico "Chuck" Johnson, 64, of Arthurdale, WV, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, with family by his side. He was born in Osage, WV, on March 30, 1957, a son of the late Charles and Eleanor (Vespi) Johnson. Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was employed by Glotfelty Tire Center in Morgantown as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed hunting. Prior to moving to WV, Chuck enjoyed working on his son's racecar. Chuck is survived by his wife, Margaret Catherine "Cathy" Johnson; six children, Christina Howdershelt and husband Justin of Reedsville, Samantha Taylor of Morgantown; Tammy Faye Sheppard and husband Phil of Cawood, KY; Roger Lee Welch and wife Jennifer of St. Petersburg, FL; Melissa Ann Williams and companion Larry of St. Petersburg, FL, and Ronda Kay Mitchell and husband Noah of Brooksville, FL; three siblings, Dennis Johnson and a wife Linda of Morgantown, WV, Linda Brown and husband Marvin "Brownie" of Reedsville, WV, and Kathy Tokarcik and husband Bob of Westover, WV, 14 grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Allyssa Mullins, whom took amazing care of Poppy during his illness and a special grandson, Tanner "Shorty" Howdershelt, and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lynniegh Winters and one infant sister, Maryann Johnson. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from noon to 4 p.m. To honor Chuck's wishes cremation services will be provided.
