Obituary of Diane Ruth Shelton
Diane Ruth Shelton, 75, of Katy, TX, formerly of Masontown, WV, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Houston West Methodist Hospital.
Diane was born in Independence, WV on August 20, 1946, a daughter of the late Carl and Ruth (Huffman) Wilt.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Shelton; a son, Shawn David Newcome and wife, Kelli; two daughters, Jacqueline Newcome-Kokosko and Beth Newcome; a step daughter, Monica Douthit ; a step son, Aaron Shelton; 8 grandchildren, Samantha Holt, Heidi Newcome, Tyler Holt, Lauren Holt, Tasha Newcome, Alex Kokosko, Adriana Holt and Karoline Kokosko; a great grandchild, Parker Holt; two brothers, Carl Wilt, Jr. and Randy Wilt; two sisters, Glenda Zuchowski and Carol McCloy and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jack R. Newcome and two sisters, Barbara McDougal and Colleen Adams.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Field Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will be in Damon Cemetery in Newburg.
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
