Obituary of James Garrett

James Alan Garrett, 57, of Masontown,formerly of Clarksburg and Cross Lanes WV, passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2010 at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwoood. He was born November 26, 1952 in Clarksburg, WV the son of the late Ray and Maxine Robinson Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathy Boring Garrett; two brothers, Ray "Woody" Garrett and wife Kit of North Lauderdale, FL, Alvin "Babe" Garrett and wife Marie of Parkton, MD; several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much; one niece Vanessa DeBardi whom he loved as a daughter and her children, Ashley and Dominic of which he thought of as grandchildren; and a nephew Kevin Boring of Buckhannon and great nephew Ryan Boring of Mishawaka, IN who shared his love of being an avid Mountaineer fan. At his request Field Funeral Home in Masontown will provide cremation services. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday January 11, 2010 at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown with the Rev. John Miller officiating.
