Obituary of Donald "Don" Wade Smith

Donald "Don" Wade Smith, 55, of Maidsville, WV, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Donald was born July 6, 1965 in Brownsville, PA, a son of Mary (Smith) Miller. He loved his job with the WVDOH. He loved riding motorcycle, camping, hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Davis Aerie #936. Donald is survived by his wife Christine (Williams) Smith; two sons, Donald Smith Jr. and Collette of Albright and Cody Smith of Kingwood; one daughter, Tasha Sypolt and Bradley of Tunnelton; one step son, James "JD" Stewart and Noelle Smith of Fairmont; one step daughter, Christinn Watkins and Kenny Mullins of Clintwood, VA; one sister, Helen DeWitt and Junior of Albright; two brothers, Paul Miller Jr. and Cindy of Bretz and Dale Miller and Angela of Albright; five grandchildren; four step grandchildren, Zachary Stewart, Matthew Taylor, Wyatt Taylor and Brooklyn Mullins; several nieces and nephews; Jake Poling and Kimberly of Fellowsville, Paul Cramer and Shayla of Bruceton Mills, Virginia Moore and Denny of Kingwood, Samantha Moore and Chad of Reedsville, Paul Miller III of Bretz, Victoria Miller of Bretz, Crystal Miller of Bretz, Jacob Miller of Albright and Clayton Miller of Albright and mother in law, Mary Williams of Fairmont. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Smith; father, Paul Miller; father-in-law, Richard Clyde Williams and a nephew, Jessie Miller. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm and on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 12 noon until the 1 pm service time with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
