Obituary of William Gamble

William C. “Cocky” Gamble passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 5, 1951, a son of the late William “Bill” and Blanche Rodgers Gamble. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had worked for Daugherty Coal Co. and the MCI Co. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Alice L. Titchnell Gamble; one son, Carl Gamble and companion Christy Myers; two daughters, Jane Sharak and companion Travis Anderson Sr. and Mirandia Cottrell.; four grandchildren, Cassidy, Jennifer, Alyson, and Travis “Jake” Jr.; step grandchildren, Myella and Ryder; two very important “children“, Courtney Calp “Ants in the pants” and Jaxon Williams; two brothers, Robert Gamble and wife Beulah, Charles Gamble and wife Mary; five sisters, Betty Shaffer and husband Carl, Shirley Sterling, Joanne Nedrow, Dora Nicholson, Janet Nedrow and husband Allen; two ex daughters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and other special people. He was proceeded in death by two sisters, one brother, one nephew, two nieces, one great niece, and a very special brother-in-law, Harley Titchnell. Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 2 - 9pm. and Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time with Rev. Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Herring, WV. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Ruby Memorial Hospital.
