Don was a pleasure to have as a colleague in the Chemistry Department, always helpful, always ready with a laugh.

I am sorry that I only had the pleasure of meeting "Pappy D" a couple of times. However, I am so grateful that you shared this wonderful man with my son, Mitchel Ray. When Mitch lost his "old Pap" "Pappy D" helped to fill that void. So as you continue in life, never give a thought to things that you should have done or wish you had done, because there are so many wonderful memories to reflect upon. I have lost my parents (knowing now they were my best friends), it is not a easy time, but truly it does get better down the road. So mourn today and rejoice tomorrow, knowing that he is suffering no more. May God Bless You and Your Family and Comfort You in this Difficult Time. Terri and Dave Sypolt

I was sorry to see Don's Obituary in the paper. One doesn't always know what to say, everything sounds so cliche. Still to Connie and to Don's family, I am so sorry for your loss and also am praying for you during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts.
