Obituary of Jack Field

Jack Field, Sr. 60, of Reedsville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 1, 2011 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Morgantown, WV on January 27, 1951, a son of the late Charles and Goldie Neff Field. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends. Jack loved serving the Lord. He attended the Mill Chapel United Brethren Church in Reedsville. He was retired from Laborers Union Local #379 after 42 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife Elsie Patricia Field of 41 years; one daughter Goldie Dixon and Spouse Coby of Reedsville; one son, Jack Field, Jr. and spouse Heather of Masontown; three sisters, Sandra Goodwin and spouse Glenn of Reedsville, Betty Reed of Benton, AK., and Brenda Cagle and spouse David of Murfreesboro, TN.; three brothers, Prentis Field and spouse Willie of Benton, AK., Daniel "Chic" Field of Reedsville, and Donald Field and companion Janice of Morgantown, WV. four grandchildren, Jairus and Myranda Speakman, Shelbie Field and Ethan Kyle; four step grandchildren, Josh and Savanah Kyle, Jalin Dixon and Casey Moore; several nieces and nephews that Loved him very much. He will be missed dearly by family, friends, special family Jimmy and Robin Stonebraker, and a special niece Kathy Taft. He was proceeded in death by three sisters and six brothers. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Thursday November 3, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm, and on Friday November 4, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held 1pm Saturday November 5, 2011 at Mill Chapel United Brethren Church in Reedsville with Pastor Marshall Woods officiating.
