Obituary of Dottie Madeline Ennis

Dottie Madeline Ennis, 89, of Masontown, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home. She was born in Kingwood on May 28, 1930, a daughter of Okey Thomas and Ethel (Shears) Thomas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and attending family reunions. She loved sewing and retired from the Morgan Shirt Factory after 47 years of service. She attended the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Dottie is survived by one son, Robert S. Ennis Jr. and wife Cindy of Masontown; five daughters, Diana Taylor and husband Albert of Masontown, Sandy Wiles and husband Gary of Morgantown, Linda McCloud and husband David of Masontown, Libby Cress and husband Rick of Masontown and Carlie Lambert and husband Jay of Aurora; 18 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Shaffer of OH and a special friend, Janet Thomas. She was proceeded in death in 2004 by her husband of 56 years, Robert Samuel Ennis Sr.; seven brothers, Bruce Thomas, Robert Thomas, Junior Thomas, Harry Thomas, Alvie Thomas, Willard Thomas and Georgie Thomas and a sister, Virginia Thomas. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Masontown Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
