Obituary of Dorothy Baber

Dorothy Melcenia Baber, 89, of Arthurdale peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Heartland of Preston County. She was born in Centralia, WV on February 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Trecie (Cogar) and Andrew B. Cobb. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed embroidery and shopping. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Baber, of Arthurdale, WV; Trecia Baber-Brown, of Masontown, WV; five sons, Allen Baber, of Albright, WV; Wade Baber, of Uniontown, PA; Daniel Baber, Jr., of Bruceton Mills, WV; Larry Baber, of Bruceton Mills, WV; Bruce Baber, of Bruceton Mills, WV; four brothers; Denver Cobb, of Lake Lynn, PA; Edward Cobb of Orlando, WV; Donald Cobb of Fairmont, WV; Junior Cobb, of Bruceton Mills, WV; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Daniel Austin Baber, two brothers; Dale and Kenneth Cobb and three half-sisters; Vergie Cobb Carpenter, Ada Belle Newman and Flora Cobb; one grandchild, and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Baber residence on B Road in Arthurdale, Thursday March 15, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, March 16, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at the Baber residence on B Road in Arthurdale, Friday March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Matthew Chapell officiating.
