Obituary of Kirk Charles William Blythe

Kirk "KC" Charles William Blythe, III, 24, formerly of Masontown, WV, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at his home in Grafton, WV. Kirk was born in Morgantown, WV, on August 2, 1993, a son of Kirk Charles William Blythe, Jr and wife, Debbie of Madison, VA and Tina (Wiles) Bolyard and husband, Larry of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Masontown, WV. He was a 2011 Preston High School graduate. He was very active in the ROTC program where he achieved a LET VIII level and was a member of the ROTC Honor Guard. He was employed as a correctional officer at the Pruntytown Correctional Center and was enrolled in the basic correctional training certification for WV and would have graduated June 22, 2018. He had worked in WV and PA as a black hat coal miner. He enjoyed four-wheeler riding, hunting and camping. He dearly loved his family and the Lord and was proud that he was saved at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Madison County, VA on February 18, 2017. In addition to his parents, Kirk is survived by a daughter Nova Rae Blythe; a son Greyson Kayge Blythe; two grandfathers, Kirk Charles William Blythe, Sr of Weatherford, OK and Teddy Wiles, Sr of Albright, WV; a step grandmother, Marie Wiles of Albright, WV and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ariana Marie and three grandmothers, Clara Wiles, Melanie Thomashunis, and Patricia "Gert" Bolyard. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Field Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt View Cemetery in Tunnelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26542, to help the family with funeral expenses.
