Obituary of Dorothy Virginia Shaw

Dorothy Virginia Shaw, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Monongalia General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Morgantown, on October 31, 1924, a daughter of the late George and Laura Brown.

Dorothy worked at the Colshire Pajama Factory in Morgantown for twenty years and the kitchen at Arnold Hall at WVU. She attended the Glory Bound Tabernacle Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great - great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Shaw and Kendra "Candy" of Morgantown and Allen "Buddy" Shaw and Linda of Reedsville; five daughters, Joyce Dalton and Harry of Morgantown, Rosalee Johnson and Harv of Maidsville, Janice "Cookie" Polce of Masontown, Deborah Friend and Skip of Bretz and Wilma Statler and Leroy of Morgantown; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Gaylord Gerald Shaw; two daughters, Vivian McMillen and Nancy Shaw and her biological mother, Edith King.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Field Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Morgantown.
