Obituary of Alice Lucille Bucklew

Alice Lucille Bucklew, 90, resident of the Madison Center in Morgantown since 2005, formerly of Cherry Street, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018. Alice was born in Lisbon, OH on June 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Harry D. and Martha (Dailey) Wigley. Alice was very family oriented and was extremely proud of the fact that she got to experience five generations of her family living. She also was employed by Ruby Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. Alice is survived by one daughter, Christena Mae Hancock and husband John Hancock of Atlanta, GA; one son, Donald Bucklew and financee Pat Athey of New Waterford, OH; four sisters, Vivian Hadlow of Lumberton, MS, Frances Strahin of Arthurdale, WV, Ruby Lawrence of GA and Virginia Lake of Independence, WV; six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlen Glenn Bucklew; one son, Harlen Bucklew Jr.; two brothers, Harry D. Wigley and Ronald Wigley; one sister, Wanda Bucklew; grandson, Ernie Bucklew and daughter in law, Mary E. Bucklew. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday March 27, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Ronald Ford officiating.
