She was born June 24, 1919, a daughter of the late James Uphold and Lillie Drummonds Uphold. She is survived by three sons and spouses, Wilford “Willie” and Donna Duley of Arthurdale, James Jackson and Rosemary Duley of Defiance, OH and Donald Lee and Linda Duley of Kingwood; an adopted daughter, Michelle Potts Moats of Westover; two sisters, Josephine Duley of Cheat Lake, Morgantown and Jennie Hall of St. Clayersville, OH; one brother, James Uphold, II of Reedsville; four half sisters, Phoebe Riffle, Percy Bell Gray, Goldie “Bubbles” Barnett and Rosalie Hartley; one half brother, William Harrison Uphold all of Morgantown; ten granddaughters, Cindy Redmond, Susanna Cabrera, Jaime Dixon, Jacki Morgan, Judi Daugherty, Angela Jacobs, Amy Gasgill, Vicki Sigley, Hayley Martin and Jessica Moats; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son; her former husbands, Woodrow Duley and Harold J. Potts; four sisters; and her stepmother, Ada Uphold. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 4-9 p.m. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev.
