Obituary of Wayne Wesley Thomas

Wayne Wesley Thomas, 47 of Bretz, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Morgantown, WV on April 6, 1970, a son of the late Harry Thomas and Vivian (Gillespie) Thomas. Wayne was a 1988 graduate of West Preston High School. He had worked at JT's Service Center, Spikes Chimney Sweep and Britton Landscaping. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was "uncle Wayne" to every kid he met. He enjoyed working on cars. Wayne is survived by two sisters, Patricia Toothman and husband Carl of Rivesville and LaVerna Thomas of Reedsville; three brothers, Brian Thomas and wife Candy, Jasper Thomas and wife Tanya and Dennie Thomas and wife Terry all of Bretz; sister in law, Rhonda Thomas; nieces and nephews, Jeremiah Toothman, Amanda Shoemaker, Kyle Toothman, Dennie Thomas II, Harry Thomas III, Rusty Thomas Jr., Josh Thomas, Kristie McCune, Robert Doman, Jeffery Cricks, Heather Cricks, Matthew Thomas and Michelle Thomas; several great nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry "Jakie" Thomas, Christopher Thomas and Rusty Thomas. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 6 p.m. until the 8 p.m. memorial service.
