Obituary of Shari Lea Thomas

Shari Lea Thomas, 52, of Masontown, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Shari was born in Morgantown, WV on May 27, 1964, a daughter of William B. Kerr Sr. of Charleston, WV and Christie L. (McMillen) Kerr of Charles Town, WV. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. She was an 1982 graduate of West Preston High School. She owned and operated Target Contracting with her late husband Herbert Thomas and Seasons Cleaning. She also had worked at Mylan Pharmaceuticals. In addition to her parents she is survived by her children, Ashley Gibbs and husband Michael of Masontown, Cory Kisner of Masontown, and Sabrina Millison and husband Preston of VA; companion, Rodney DeSantis of Masontown; two step daughters, Shayna DeSantis of Gladesville and Jackie DeSantis of Masontown; one step son, Joshua Thomas and wife Hannah of TX; three brothers, Brad Kerr and wife Melissa of Martinsburg, WV, Brian Kerr and wife Melody of TN and Jerrad Kerr and companion Emily of Uniontown, PA; six grandchildren, Austin, Easton, Caden, Jesse, Josh and Payton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her husband Herbert Thomas in 2008, her grandparents James and Virginia McMillen and a step son Jason Thomas. To honor Shari's wishes the Field Funeral Home in Masontown will provide cremation services. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
