Obituary of Raymond John Kott

Raymond John Kott, Sr., 85, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at home. Raymond was born in Detroit, MI, on October 15, 1930, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Kott. He was proud of his work as a truck driver for the Chrysler Transport for 36 years. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Raymond is survived by his wife Martha Kott of Reedsville; a son, Raymond J. Kott Jr. and wife Eileen of MI; a daughter, Regina Kott of MI; a brother, Joe Kott and wife Katherine of CA; five grandchildren, Cathy, Larry, Wayne, Sarah, Raymond III and six great grandchildren, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Laura, Megan, Joseph and Cloey. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lewanda Bell Kott; two sons, Charles and Dennis and a sister, Shirley Brown. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a scripture prayer service at 7 p.m.. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Zita Catholic Church on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Andrew Switzer as celebrant.
