Obituary of Mary Jo Collins

Mary Jo Collins, 78, of Kingwood passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in Terra Alta, WV on February 28, 1938, a daughter of the late Harold Strawser and Mary Ellen Brown Strawser Wickwire. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Her family was very important to her. She loved to play bingo and was a member of the Eagles in Kingwood. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy "CJ" Falls and her companion Charlie Bigler, of Kingwood; Lucy Metz and husband Henry, of Reedsville; a son, Charles "Chuck" Collins Jr., of Caldwell, OH; 15 grandchildren, Terri Moats, Chuck Collins, Chris Collins, Billie Lewellyn, Shane Comberiati, Jodi Deusenberry, Angel Hardy, Jeff Bigler, Becky Wotring, Robert Worting, Chassie Smith, Beverly Collins, Stacy Metz, Kim Weaver and Henry Metz II, 40 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother John Strawser of Terra Alta and two sisters, Elsie Blackburn of Darlington, MD and Marti Nelson of Cranesville. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles "Buck" Collins who passed February 22, 2015 one daughter, Diane Hanlin; one son, Floyd Collins; one granddaughter, Jody McCrobie, two great granddaughters, Kaytlen Riley and Courtney Roper and two sisters, Debra Reckart and Louise Guthrie. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marty Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Kingwood Southern Baptist Church, Elevator Fund, 18508 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Kingwood, WV 26537.
