Obituary of Jettie Iretta Forman-Eble

Jettie Iretta Forman Eble, 95, of Arthurdale, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood. She was born in Chapel, WV on December 5, 1920, a daughter of the late John A. and Dora Belle (Frame) Boggs. Jettie was always very active in the community. She volunteered working with 4-H camps, Civil Air Patrol, and along with her husband originated the Preston County Habitat for Humanity. She also helped at the Arthurdale School where she worked with disabled children and was past state president of the PTA and president of the local PTA. She was a member of the Arthurdale Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Deacon. She was chosen Mother of the Year in Monongalia County. She worked various places over her life including the Holiday Inn, WVU Extension Office, Sterling Credit Union, the shirt factory in Arthurdale and the Titus Machine Shop. She is survived by two sons, James Ralph Forman and wife JoAnne of Arthurdale and Jack Duane Forman and wife Mary of Arthurdale; and one daughter, Iretta Jean Turnley and husband Edward of Reedsville; two sisters in law, Leona Wilson of Reedsville and Sarah Boggs of Fairmont; one brother in law, Harold C. Golding of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchldren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Junior Ralph Forman and Rev. Charles Eble; four brothers, Frances Boggs, Hershel Boggs, Charles Boggs, and Verlin Boggs; one sister, Velma Whittaker; three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Friends May call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday June 10, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday June 11, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday June 12, 2016 at the Arthurdale Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Lightner officiating. Interment will follow in the Arthurdale Cemetery.
