Obituary of Mary Kathryn Knotts

Mary Kathryn Knotts, 69, of Tunnelton, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Newburg on January 6, 1947, a daughter of the late Mildred (Cain) and Robert Burgoyne. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping with her family. She worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital as a dietitian for many years. Mary is survived by one son, Bernie Knotts and wife Julie of Hoover, AL; one daughter, Missy Mouser and husband Tim of Gladesville; five sisters, Vonda Summers and husband Arnold of Brooksville, FL, Barbara Casteel of Newburg, Beverly Gribble and husband Eugene of Masontown, Lorreta Goff and husband Mark of Tunnelton and Pam Funk and husband Vance of Newburg; three brothers, Richard Burgoyne and wife June of Newburg, Max Burgoyne and wife Janie of Independence and Danny Burgoyne and wife Janet of Fairmont; thirteen grandchildren, Lindsay, Zach, Kayla, Katie, Benjamin Jr., Jacob, Keith, Logan, Brooke and husband Steven, Miranda and husband Chris, Lakin, Collette, and Clayson; one great grandchild, Riley and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bernard "Bill" Knotts in 2008; one son, Chuck Knotts; one sister, Donna Knotts; one brother, Roger Burgoyne;one grandson, Collin Knotts and one brother-in-law, Jerry Casteel. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time with Pastor Ron Ford officiating.
