Obituary of Thelma M. Clingerman

Thelma M. Clingerman, 94, of Masontown, passed away Wednesday evening, March 2, 2016 at Pine Ridge (formerly Heartland of Preston County) in Kingwood. She was born in Masontown, WV on September 5, 1921, a daughter of the late Russell and Sadie Pearl (Shipley) Clingerman. Thelma worked at Jenkins store and retired from the Sterling Faucet Company after many years of service. She was a 1939 graduate of Masontown High School. Thelma was a very loving daughter who cared for her mother until her passing in 1988. She was also a very loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Thelma is survived by a niece, Helen Clingerman of Reedsville; a nephew Charlie Piper of Reedsville; three great nephews, Don G. Clingerman Jr. of Reedsville, Michael L. Clingerman and wife Robin and their children Sidney and Logan of Maidsville and Mark A. Clingerman and wife Sarah of Reedsville and many cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Allen Clingerman (in infancy) and Marshall Glenn Clingerman; one sister-in-law, Agatha Clingerman; one nephew, Don G. Clingerman Sr.; one niece, Sandra F. Piper and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Pine Ridge for the excellent care they gave to Thelma. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from noon until the 3 p.m. service time with Pastor Brian Long officiating.
