Obituary of Rodney K Hartley

Rodney K. Hartley, 64, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Morgantown on October 18, 1951, a son of the late Robert H. and Mary Olive (Huggins) Hartley. He was a loving husband and father. Rodney was a 1971 Graduate of Morgantown High where he was a member of the FFA. He enjoyed working on the family farm and was an avid mechanic. He worked in construction for many years for Fuzz Born and Hartley Construction. He is survived by one son, Rodney A. Hartley and wife Amy of Morgantown; 12 nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews and two cousins, Harry Hartley of Independence and William "Buddy" Hartley of Morgantown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Sharon Kifer Hartley on January 1, 2016. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Rev Peggy Petrich officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
