Obituary of Bessie Lee Haney

Bessie Lee Haney, 80, of Bretz, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Masontown, WV on March 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Alva and Emma (Robey) McMillen. She graduated from Masontown High School in 1953. In her early years she worked at the Colshire Pajama factory in Morgantown. Bessie enjoyed gardening, playing cards and feeding her birds. She was an active member of the Masontown Baptist Church. Bessie is survived by four sons, David Haney of Bretz, Jeff Haney and wife Alice of Pocatello, ID, Larry Haney of Herring and James Haney and wife Debbie of Akron, OH; one sister, Anna Mae Thorne and husband Bill of Reedsville; two brothers, Charles McMillen of Masontown and Raymond McMillen and wife Carol of Palmyra, VA; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Haney; one son, Kenny Lee Haney; one sister, Helen Jenkins; one brother Cecil McMillen and daughter-in-law, Sheila Haney. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Thursday January 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday January 29, 2016 from 10 until the 11 a.m. service time with Rev.
