Obituary of Violet Josephine Jenkins

Violet Josephine Jenkins, 81, of Masontown, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Herring, WV on February 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Glenn and Pearl (Groves) Nicholson. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She worked at Morgan Shirt Factory for many years and was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Violet is survived by a daughter, Debbie Smith and husband Steve of Reedsville; a son, Bruce Jenkins and wife Kathy of Albright; a sister, Judy Titchnell of VA and five grandchildren, Eric and Erin Smith, Kerri Ridenour and husband Travis and Christopher and Emily Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her husband Forest E. "Joe" Jenkins; a sister, Virginia Nedrow and a brother, Howard Nicholson. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday October 12, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Harriman and Rev. Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made in Violet's memory to Hospice Care Corp.
