Obituary of Sylvia Jean Swiger

Sylvia Jean Swiger, 84, of Masontown passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at her home. She was born in Moorefield, WV on January 22, 1931, a daughter of the late Angelo and Goldie (Cook) Caporusso. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed going to yard and garage sales and loved animals especially her two dogs, Buddy and Rusty. She was a senior companion at Unity Manor in Morgantown for many years. Sylvia is survived by four daughters, Beverly Wilson and husband Harvey of Tucson, AZ, Jacqueline Byuse of Morgantown, Amber and Gary Hyder of Masontown, Patty White and husband Robert of Phillipi, one son, Randy Swiger of Terra Alta; seven grandchildren, Staci Sapp, Lisa Dodson, Heather Wade, Bobby Byuse, Melanie Vannoy, Ashley Harris, and Justin White; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and one special niece, Linda Paugh. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Swiger; one son, Jerry Swiger; one sister, Janet Cain and a brother-in-law William Cain. To honor her wishes a graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Pleasant Hills Cemetery on Peirpont Road, Morgantown.
