Obituary of Nancy Shaw

Nancy Eileen Shaw, 62, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was born in Morgantown on June 24, 1953, a daughter of Gaylord and Dorothy (Brown) Shaw of Morgantown. Nancy was a loving daughter, mother, and sister. She received her bachelor's degree from West Virginia University in 1991. While in college, she worked a full time and a part time job but managed to stay on the Dean's List and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. She was employed by the Farmers and Merchants Bank for several years and later started with the F.B.I. During her career with the F.B.I she worked in Cambodia, China and Australia and later was an identity research specialist at the Clarksburg F.B.I. Center. She received numerous awards and was well respected at her job. In addition to her parents Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sybil Murcott and husband Jon of Australia; fiancé, Joe Tamasco of Pocatello, ID; ffive sisters, Joyce Dalton and husband Harry of Morgantown, Rosalee Johnson and husband Harry of Maidsville, Janice Polce of Masontown, Deborah Friend and husband Skip of Bretz and Wilma Statler and husband Leroy; two brothers, Bruce Shaw and wife Candy of Morgantown and Allen (Buddy) Shaw and wife Linda of Reedsville, WV. She was preceded in death a sister Vivian McMillen. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:30 am with Chaplin David Goodin officiating.
