Agnes Lucille Davis Family contact: Phyllis Davis Viewing times: Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 1-8 p.m. Funeral time: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008 Burial location: Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring Notes: Agnes Lucille Davis, age 96, of Masontown, WV, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 25, 2008 at her home with her family at her side. She was born on September 17, 1911 in Kingwood, WV a daughter of the late Alva J. and Mary Virginia Jennie Hauger White. She was a loving and strong wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a 1930 graduate of Masontown High School, worked at Masontown Post Office for several years and was also a member of Masontown First Baptist Church for 72 years. She was a charter member of the Extension Homemakers Club since 1950, the Ex Service Wives Club and helped with the 4H Club of Masontown. She is survived by two sons and spouses, William P. and Mary A. Davis and James G. & Phyllis Davis, all of Masontown; four grandchildren and spouses, Jeff & Erin Davis, Fairmont, WV, Debbie & Rob Crawford, Walkersville, WV, Michael & Tiffany Seal-Davis, Manassas, VA and Julie L. and Jay Mallow, Masontown, WV; two great grandchildren, Kennedy Paige Seal-Davis and Tobey Quinn Crawford; many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and many friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Preston L. Davis; two infant sons, Keith and Bobby; three brothers, Chester, Walter and Charley White and three sisters, Effie Clingerman, Maude Hyre and Dora Feather. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 1-8 p.m. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. William Winston officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring.
