Daft, 29, of Masontown, WV, died Monday, October 2, 2006, at home. She was born November 30, 1976, in Elkins, WV, the daughter of Kenneth J. Daft, of Moundsville, WV, and Judy K. Lantz Daft of Masontown. She was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a 1995 Preston High graduate and attended WVU. She attended the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and the Mt. View United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sports and was named All State Basketball Player and All State Soft Ball Player. She is survived by her son, Tyler Jacob Daft; a brother, Jimmy K. Daft, of Independence; three sisters and spouses, Christine Festa, of Masontown, Cindy and JD Shaffer of Reedsville, and Georgette and Phil Butler, of Vivian, LA; a paternal grandmother, Audra Daft of Morgantown; a maternal grandfather and step grandmother, James William and Joanne Lantz of Lake Wales, FL; several nieces and nephews, Ryan Festa, Nathan and Ashley Savage, Ashley White, David and Marc Riley, Justin and Megan Butler; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James Daft; maternal grandparents, George and Mabel Lantz; a maternal grandmother, Emma Pinion; two aunts, Sheila Yeager and Thelma Daft; three uncles, Jimmy Lantz, David Daft and Ivan Daft; and a cousin, Timmy Daft. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home, Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 11 am with the Pastor Jamie Wiklanski and Rev. Robert Dickens officiating. The Preston County VFW Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
