Obituary of Mary Casseday

Mary Kathleen Casseday,86, of Masontown, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with her family by her side. She was born in Masontown on November 22, 1928, a daughter of the late Ocie and Ola F. (Pete) Nuce. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Post #1589 Ladies Auxiliary, where she held various offices during the years and was a member of the Masontown Church of the Nazarene. Kathleen worked at Sterling Faucet for many years. She is survived by a son, Clarence David Casseday of Masontown; a grandson, Michael D. Casseday and friend Mara of MA; a granddaughter, Megan V. Casseday of Irvington, VA; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Nuce of Masontown, Bessie Mathews of Morgantown and Edith Cummings of Bradenton, FL; several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Beverly Loettrel, whom helped care for her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Casto Casseday; a sister, Annabell Davis and a brother, Francis Nuce. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. with the VFW Post #1589 Ladies Auxiliary memorial service held at 7 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Field Funeral Home with Pastor Marshall Woods officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VFW Post# 1589 Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 89, Masontown, WV 26542.
