Obituary of Dorothy Wolfe

Dorothy Helen Wolfe, 88, of Morgantown, formerly of Masontown, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown. She was born in Riverside, WV, on December 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Dove (Hunt) and Okey Day. She was a homemaker and co-owned the Wolfe Brothers Dairy Farm in Masontown with her husband Richard for many years. She was an active member and supporter of the Masontown United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, assisted with the food pantry and many other church programs. She was a graduate and vice president of Arthurdale High school class of 1944. She was a resident of Heritage Point in Morgantown for a number years. During her time at Heritage Point and Sundale she enjoyed her friends and activities. Dorothy is survived by a sister, Janet Day Cherry and husband John, of Arthurdale; three brothers, Robert Day and wife Edna of Arthurdale, David Day and wife Mary of Denver, CO and Roger Day and wife Linda of Arthurdale; brother-in-law, Wade Wolfe and his wife Beulah; sister-in-law, Pearl Guseman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Richard Wolfe, on November 5, 2011 and two brothers, Allen Day and Gerald Day. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 with Pastor Marshall Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the Arthurdale Cemetery.
