Obituary of Rosamond Street

Rosamond Irene Gregory Street of Masontown passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Statesville, N.C., on January 28, 1927 a daughter of the late John and Irene Smith Gregory. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School and West Virginia University. She was a member of the WVU Emeritas Club and the Eastern Star. Rosamond was a longtime member of the Order of the Amaranth, she served in numerous offices and as a Past Grand Royal Matron and Grand Secretary of West Virginia. She loved to travel the world and had visited every continent except Antarctica. Rosamond is survived by her four children, Susan Henthorn of Aurora, OH, Glenn Richard Street, Jr. and wife Peggy of Hopwood, PA, Gregory Street and wife Linda of Masontown, WV, and Catherine Kelly and husband David of Wheeling, WV; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Henthorn Smith, Kristen Henthorn Knouff, Zachary Street, Jonathan Street, Chelsey Street May, Rebecca Street Prudnick, Kaitlyn Street Turnbull, Matthew Kelly, Lauren Kelly and Michelle Kelly; seven great grandchildren and a sister, Catherine Priester and husband Thomas of Annapolis, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Street. She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stephen Henthorn. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6-8 pm. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Corp.
