Obituary of Richard Sevara

Richard John Sevara, 84, of Masontown, WV, passed away from a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, Monday, November 17, 2014 at Rosewood Center in Grafton, WV. Richard was born in Binghamton, NY on March 4, 1930, a son of the late Victoria (Sury) and Raymond Sevara. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Richard enjoyed golfing and hiking. He retired from IBM as a computer designer. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Yvonne (Reams) Sevara; a daughter, Valarie Brannon and husband Michael, of FL; a son, David Sevara, of Binghamton, NY; a grandson Mason Brannon of FL; three step-daughters; one step-son and several brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Irene; his brother, Ray and one step-daughter. To honor Richard's wishes Field Funeral Home will provide cremation.
