Obituary of Ward Williams
Ward Williams, 67, of Masontown, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Charleston, WV on December 10, 1946, a son of the late Kathleen (Shelton) and Lester Williams.
He retired from General Motors in Cleveland and Dayton, OH where he worked as a design engineer.
Ward is survived by his loving wife Nellie (Shaffer) Williams; four daughters, Kimberly Williams and her companion Marc Atkinson of Independence, Jamie Williams and companion Jacob "Zeke" Cress of Reedsville, Rayanna Williams of Masontown and Melanie Williams of Masontown; five grandchildren, Jameelah Cress, Marc Atkinson II, Jasmine Cress, Jaiven Cress and Raylen Williams; three sisters, Charlotte Williams of Charleston, WV, Reuna Knuckles and husband David of South Carolina and Tonda Williams of Charleston, WV; two brothers, Pastor Joe Williams and wife Sandra of Cleveland, OH and Evangelist Dana Williams and wife Ester of Wedowee, AL and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Williams, Craig Williams and Reid Williams.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from noon until the 3 p.m. service time with Evangelist Dana Williams officiating.
A dinner will follow at the Masontown Methodist Church.
To honor Ward's wishes cremation will follow.
