Obituary of Gerald White

Gerald Allen "Jerry" White, age 22, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. He was born May 29, 1992 in North Miami Beach, FL to James H. and Rita F. (Franks) White. An exceptionally hard worker, Jerry worked as a carpenter and was attending Cecil College to increase his knowledge and skills in the construction trades. He was recently awarded his certificate in welding at the school. He was a 2010 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School, Chesapeake City, MD. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and four wheel "muddin" through the woods. He played the guitar and was an avid fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dedicated and loyal, he enjoyed hanging out and spending time with his family, friends and Amy, who all will miss him dearly. He is survived by his parents James and Rita White of Chesapeake City, MD; brother Scott White of Chesapeake City, MD; paternal grandmother, Virginia Cottrell White of Masontown, WV, and maternal grandmother, Estella McFadden Franks of Elkton, MD; aunts Debbie White Mayne and husband John, and Brenda White Street and husband Roger, all of Masontown, WV; uncles Gerald Wade White and wife Tracey, and Robert Scott White and wife Bonnie, all of Masontown, WV; great uncle Harold McFadden of FL; girlfriend Amy Carter of Warwick, MD; and a host of cousins and friends whom he loved and treasured. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather Walter "Bud" White and his maternal grandfather Bob Allen Franks. A service will be held at 3PM on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Town Point United Methodist Church, 61 Port Herman Rd., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. The visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the church and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. A graveside service will be held 1pm Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown, WV with George Shaffer officiating.
