Obituary of Gregory Strahin

Gregory Alan Strahin, 48, of Gladesville community, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 while in Monongalia General Hospital. Gregory was born in Morgantown, WV on December 31, 1965. He was the youngest son of Bertha Jane Strahin of Independence and the late Robert Strahin. He was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He served in the United States Army for five years. Gregory loved to read for pleasure as well as reading to feed his hunger for learning new information. He also loved to admire the scenic beauty of nature. Gregory is survived by his wife, Tina (Freeman)Strahin; two daughters, April Strahin and Autumn Strahin; two sisters, Carol Ann Miller and husband Jackie of Blacksville and Judy Strahin of Gladesville; three brothers, Gene Strahin and wife Cindy of Gladesville, Rodney Strahin and wife Donna of Gladesville and Tom Strahin and wife Charlene of Kingwood; his uncle Sam Loughry and wife Ida of Newburg and aunt Emma Pyles and husband Ralph of Morgantown and their son, Heath. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Wanda Strahin and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Lela Loughry. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Ford officiating.
