Obituary of Thomas Lefevers

Thomas "Doc" Durwood Lefevers III, 44, of Morgantown, passed away, Monday, October 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Morgantown on April 3, 1970, a son of Patricia M. (Graham) Lefevers and Thomas D. Lefevers II. Thomas served in the U.S. Marine Corp. for 12 years. During the Gulf war he served on the battleship USS Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lefevers; two sons, Christopher Lefevers of Bellflower, CA and Marcus Lefevers of Newport, CA; a step-daughter Candice Hewitt of Newport, CA; a step-son, Richard Trout of Blacksville; two sisters, Cathy Stimmell and husband Dennis Sr. of Blacksville and Carrie Jo Lopez and husband Pedro of Masontown and a brother, Timothy and Cindy Lefevers of Morgantown. He is preceded in death by one step-son, Anthony Trout. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time with Rev. Jon Henry officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County VFW Post #1589 Honor Guard and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 977. Inurnment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
