Obituary of Juanita Keener

Juanita "Nanny" Lucille Keener, 66, of Masontown, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown surrounded by her family. She was born in Buckhannon, on August 4, 1947, a daughter of the late Margie (Gregory) and Clyde Shreve. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Juanita was a graduate of Valley High School. She worked as a home health caregiver for the majority of her life and was a waitress at the Murphy Mart Restaurant in Morgantown. Juanita attended the Masontown Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald Keener; a daughter, Sherrie Keener and companion Greg Rice of Morgantown; two sons, Ronald Keener II and wife Katherine of Maidsville and Mark Keener and wife Stacey of Bridgeville, PA; seven grandchildren; Dustin Keener and wife Rachel, Breanna Rice, Zachary Keener, Alicia Keener, Trenton Keener, Ethan Keener, and Owen Keener; a sister, Judith Harvey and husband William of Kingwood; a brother, Terry Shreve and wife Sherry of Bretz; a special niece, Sally Harvey-Deep and husband Mark and their daughter Sophia and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet McCabe. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rose Saunders officiating. Cremation services will follow.
