Obituary of Agatha Clingerman

Agatha Juanita “Toots” Clingerman, 92, of Reedsville, WV, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Heartland of Preston County. She was born May 25, 1917, in Masontown, WV, the daughter of the late Izzie Burn Taylor & Orville Vance Taylor. She was a very special mother, grandmother, friend, and Christian woman who loved her Church and family. She was a member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was a supporter of W.S.C.S. and a lifelong member of the Tawasi Class. She was a wonderful homemaker, baker, gardener, and a lover of cats. She is survived by a daughter Sandra Piper and her husband, Charles of Reedsville; a special daughter-in-law Helen Clingerman of Reedsville; three grandsons, Don Clingerman Jr of Reedsville, Mark Clingerman of Reedsville, and Michael Clingerman and wife Robin of Maidsville; two great-grandchildren Sidney & Logan; and two sister-in-laws, Thelma Clingerman of Masontown and Mildred Kelly of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marshall Glenn Clingerman, one son Donald Glenn Clingerman Sr, brothers and their spouses, Hugh & Ada Taylor, Demoin & Vivian Taylor, Lonnie & Elizabeth Taylor, Parley & Dorothy Taylor, Herbert Taylor, and Joe Taylor, sister and spouse, Opal and Bill McMillen. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday August 11 from 6 - 8 pm, Wednesday August 12 from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm, and on Thursday August 13 from 1pm until the 2pm time of service at the Reedsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Gary Helms officiating. Interment will follow at the Beverly Hills Cemetery in Morgantown. Due to allergic conditions, the family request that only potted plants and silk arrangements be sent but prefer memorial donations be made to the Reedsville United Methodist Church, PO Box 403, Reedsville, WV 26547.
