So sorry to hear about Mac's passing. I (Linda) am Mac's first cousin, too (Aunt Clarice's daughter). It has been a few years since I have seen him. He is such a good guy, just like his Dad. We had the same Grandmother Ellen Lipscomb. Sorry for your loss. God bless you.

I met Mac in 2004, when I went to work at WS Thomas. Mac was doing some remodeling work in the offices while he was waiting for his truck to be repaired. We spent many hours talking on the radio or the cell phone while running the roads together. If you called Mac on his cell you could usualy hear George Jones blasting away on his radio. We spent lots of lunches and dinners together talking about older times and newer ones and quite a few watching ball games at "BellFountain" while waiting to be unloaded. When Mac retired from trucking I lost a trucking buddy but not a best friend. We kept in touch by phone until Mac lost his voice. I still called Barb to check up on Mac once in awhile but, in looking back, probably not often enough. Mac was a good man. I never heard him complain much and he would help you out if he could and never ask for much in return. The last time I saw Mac, he was looking and feeling pretty good, and that is how I will always remember him, as My Best Friend.

I didn't realize, after not seeing you in the past 30 years, that last year at the reunion would be the last time. I'm sorry for all the pain and heartache you went through most of your life but I know you have found a place of love and rest now. God Bless you "Mackie".
