Obituary of Robert Strahin

Robert Filmore Strahin, 76, of Independence, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his residence. Robert was born in Morgantown, WV on May 29, 1936, a son of the late Wanda Mae Ervin Strahin and Philip Ray Strahin. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a carpenter and belonged to the Local Union #604. He enjoyed music and playing guitar and fiddle. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bertha Jane (Loughry) Strahin; two daughters, Carol Ann Miller and husband Jackie of Blacksville and Judy Lynn Strahin of AZ; four sons, Gene Strahin and wife Cindy of Gladesville, Rodney Strahin and wife Donna of Gladesville, Tom Strahin and wife Charlene of Kingwood and Greg Strahin and wife Tina of Gladesville; two sisters, Hattie Comp and husband George of Reedsville and Edna Murray and husband John of OH; five grandchildren, Jason Strahin, Amy Sue Miller, Sally Ann Miller, April Strahin and Autum Strahin. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Cooey. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm. Services will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 1pm with the Pastor Ronald Ford officiating. Interment will follow at the Gladesville Cemetery.
