Obituary of Beatrice Carper

Beatrice Strahin Carper, 85, formerly of Masontown, passed away on April 3, 2009 at the Arbors in Fairmont, WV, after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 7, 1923 in Masontown, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde & Cinda Mollisee Strahin. She was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Masontown, WV. She is survived by four sons, Alvin D Carper and wife Barbara, James P. Carper and wife Frances, both of Mannington, WV, Charles E. Carpers and wife Sherry of Morgantown, WV, and Clyde M Carper and fiancé Victoria Atkins of Wadestown; a daughter Martha Carper Valentine of Mingo Junction, OH; one sister-in-law Audrey Carper Dunn of Morgantown, WV; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Carper; two daughters, Nancy and Mary; two granddaughters Teresa Carper and Diane Carper; five sisters Mrs. John (Nellie) Forquer, Mrs. Odra (Lillian) Lambert, Mrs. Herbert (Leah) Withers, Mrs. Forrest (Dorothy) Jenkins, and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Radabaugh. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 6 - 9 pm and Monday, April 6, 2009 from 11 am until the 12:00pm service time with Pastor Terry Hagedorn officiating.
