Obituary of Warren Taylor
Warren Edward Taylor, 90, of Reedsville, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his son's residence.
He was born in Masontown on October 6, 1922 a son of the late Mary L. (Radabaugh) and Blaine Taylor.
Warren loved to travel. He enjoyed hunting, square dancing and living life to the fullest. He was a lifetime member of the Masontown VFW Post #1589 and a pillar at the Valley District Senior Center. Warren served in the US Army in WWII as a medical aidman. He retired from Sterling Faucet after 33 years.
He is survived by a son, Edward L. Taylor and wife Nancy of Reedsville, a sister, Ireta C. Skelton of San Angelo, TX, two brothers; Cooper C. Taylor of Masontown and Claude Y. Taylor and wife Ida of Masontown, two grandchildren; Renee Taylor and Chad Taylor, four great grandchildren; Jeron Amoroso, Dillon Taylor, Kendall Taylor and Kayden Taylor . He is also survived by his best friend Bertha Wolfe.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife Rosalee (Whitehair) Taylor, two brothers; Marriott Taylor and Herbert Taylor, one sister, Serate Taylor and one great grandson, Austin Taylor.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home Friday, February 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Herring on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2PM with the Rev. Mike Harriman. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Preston County VFW Honor Guard, WVANG Honor Guard and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977.
Donations may be made in Warren's memory to the Valley District Senior Center or the Masontown VFW Post #1589
