Obituary of Alton St. Clair

Alton O. St. Clair, 64, of Masontown, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Cannonsburg General Hospital in Cannonsburg, PA. He was born in Morgantown, WV on July 18, 1948, a son of the late Thelma G. (Miller) and Franklin O. St. Clair. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Alton enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Merchant Marines. He had worked at the Davis and Lynch glass factory. He worked at the Bretz coke ovens and was also a general handyman for the town of Masontown. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria Jean (Domico) St. Clair; a son, Kevin O. St. Clair and wife Kimberly of Star City, WV; a stepson, Michael A. Domico of Masontown, WV; two grandchildren, Faith Marie St. Clair and Johnathan Michael Mayne, whom he helped raise; two sisters, Rebecca A. Groves and husband Donald of Kingwood, WV and Sharon L. Stone of Point Marion, PA and five brothers, Roger A. St. Clair and wife Connie of Masontown, WV, Wayne F. St. Clair of Masontown, WV, George F. St. Clair of Masontown, WV, Clark F. St. Clair and wife Ruth of Reedsville, WV and Michael E. St. Clair of Bel Air, MD. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marie Ann St. Clair and one brother, Claude "Barney" W. St. Clair. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 7-9 pm and Monday, January 28, 2013 from 4-8 pm. Services will be held at the Masontown Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1:00pm with Rev. Tim Heaney and Rev. Kelly Gamble officiating. Per Alton's request cremation will follow.
