Obituary of Susan Cale

Susan L. Cale, 60, of Masontown passed on to a better place Wednesday morning September 21, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Morgantown on May 25, 1951, a daughter of Georgia E. Hussing Hammack of Morgantown and the late Wilburn H. Hammack. Susan was employed by the University Hospital for 40 some years. She enjoyed family get togethers, her friends, many different crafts, and working with her flowers. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James W. Cale; one son, Brian W. Cale of Williamsport, MD; one daughter, Nikole L. Cale of Denver, CO; one sister, Carol Wolfe and husband Donnie of Fairmont; two brothers, James Hammack and wife Roselea of Point Marion, PA; and Carlton (Bud) Hammack and wife Joyce of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend of 38 years, Jennifer Taylor of Morgantown. The family would like to give thanks to the doctors and staff of the WV Eye Institute for everything they had done during this difficult time. A very special thanks to Becky, Charlie, John, Judy, Karen, Monique, Paula, Tammy, Terri, and Vernon. Susan could not believe the amount of love and support she received during her short battle. She truly was and will continue to be an amazing woman, daughter, wife, sister, mother, and friend.
