Obituary of Helen Peer
Helen Genevieve Peer, 91, of St. Clair, MO departed this life in St. Clair on September 3, 2012.
She was born June 21, 1921 in West Newton, PA, a daughter of the late Harry Bibby and Bertha Bibby nee Augustine. In February of 1938 she was united in marriage to Freddie Dale Pyles and five children came to bless this union. In March of 1978 she was united in marriage to Elmer L. Peer and their families were joined as one.
She was a loving and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and treasured friend , she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She was a Christian of the Methodist faith and had a variety of interests and pastimes including doing crafts and crocheting. Helen was employed by Parkersburg National Bank where she served many years as a bookkeeper until her retirement.
Helen is survived by her children; John M. Pyles and wife Elisa, of Fredericktown, OH, Ronald I. Pyles and wife Judi, of Harrisonburg, VA, James Lawlor of West Palm Beach, FL, Iris A. Pollock of Fecatur, GA, Doris J. Bowles of Union, MO and Joy Miller and husband Jason of St. Clair, MO; one brother, Donald Bibby and wife Peggy, of Mt. Vernon, OH; one sister, Karen Watkins and husband Charles, of Grafton, WV; niece and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Freddie Pyles and Elmer Peer; two brothers, Harold and Harry Bibby and two sisters, Evangeline "Vangie" Randolf and Mary Lawlor.
A committal service will be held at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Morgantown, WV at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, 2012 with Rev. Major Rettig officiating. Local arrangements will be provided by the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV.
